The true disciple treasures God, not material things.
We all have a lot of reasons to be anxious, but in Matthew 6:19–34, Jesus is going to tell us why we shouldn’t be — not by dismissing our worries, but by redefining our relationship with money and material things, and lifting our eyes to see the greatness and kindness of our God.
You don’t need to worry, because God has not just said that he loves you, but he has shown that he loves you in the gift of his Son.
