Pastor - Preaching & Vision

Jared Huntley

Jared lives in Washington, D.C. with his wife, Jen. Jared surrendered his life to Jesus Christ at the age of 24. Soon after, God called him to preach the Gospel and plant churches. Jared always felt called to preach the Gospel in unreached areas, and after several years of prayer, he received the call to go to Canada to plant a church. After planting Fellowship Oshawa in the Greater Toronto Area in 2016, Jared raised up Canadian elders and moved back to the States. Jared received his BA in Bible at Howard Payne University in Brownwood, TX, and his Masters in North American Church Planting at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Now pastoring Pillar DC, Jared is excited to continue to preach the word of God and equip the saints for the work of ministry. In his free time, Jared enjoys cheering on his Houston, Texas sports teams.

Carey Julien

Worship Leader

Carey Julien

A Florida native, Carey moved to Washington, D.C. in 2017. He surrendered his life to Christ as a junior at Liberty University, where he received his Bachelor's degree in Business Marketing. God gave Carey a deep-seated passion to work in ministry, leading him to receive a Master’s degree in Biblical Counseling at Luther Rice Seminary and later to work a year-long pastoral residency at McLean Bible Church. That season of life gave him more in-depth insight into worship leading, scriptural study, and event planning at a mega-church. As the residency came to an end, God provided Carey the opportunity to apply his experience to the opposite end of the spectrum with church planting. Carey now leads the worship ministry and oversees the administration of Pillar DC!
