Pillar DC Philosophy of Ministry to Children and Families

The leadership of Pillar DC believes that Scripture clearly teaches that parents are charged with the primary responsibility to raise their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. The Pillar Kids Ministry is a support team of the church that aims to inform parents, to aid them, to encourage them and to supplement them in the discipling of their children, in accordance with Scripture and the leadership of our elders. Since it is primarily the parents’ responsibility to teach their children the ways of God, ministries to children are provided to assist parents in that role, not to take it from them. When children are entrusted into the care of the church, we will seek to provide faith-nurturing activities that fit their needs and support family discipleship.
